Night  Report  2014-11-01

Observers: Paula Zelaya, Manuel E. Moreno-Raya

TAT: Annalisa De Cia, Maria Teresa Botticella

Data reducers: Milena Bufano, Francisco Forster

01 Nov: EFOSC2 night, 'photometry' and spectroscopy

Non-photometric night. Sky partially covered at the beginning of the night.

Quite stable conditions through the night. Clear sky in the first and second thirds. Wind speed increases a little. Clouds showing up at the end of the night.

Seeing  started around 1.0" and was decreasing until 0.8" / Humidity between 20-40 % / wind speed < 10 m/s the first half, then increased <15m/s.

Daytime: Calibrations [PESSTO_bias & PESSTO_calib taken]

------------------

BEGIN OF THE NIGHT

------------------

UT 00:06  some not nice clouds...

UT 00:07 Feige 110 (Gr#11, Gr#16, Gr#13 @ 1.0" slit width) --spectroscopic standard

UT 00:26 SN2014cx (Gr#11, Gr#16)

UT 01:21 NGC7552-OT (Gr#16 & Gr#11) --- astrometry in finding chart had to be done.

UT 03:40 VMA2 (Gr#11,Gr#16, Gr#13 @ 1.0" slit width) --spectroscopic standard

UT 04:01 ASASSN-14il photometry in BV done, but unable to identify the objec

(could not be resolved from the host) using PESSTOASTRO,

so we could not get any spectrum. It was to risky to put the slit in the galaxy absolutely blind.

UT 04:12 LSQ14fxj spectroscopy (Gr#13). Located at follow-up but not classification yet.

UT 05:51 LSQ14fvy Gr#13 classification

UT 06:10 LSQ14gac Gr#13 classification

UT 06:43 focusing telescope

--

UT 06:50 ASASSN-14hu (Gr#13)

UT 08:09 CSS141028-081814+044553 (Gr#13) classification. we had to double the integration time due to both faintness of the target   and clouds

UT 08:35 l745a (Gr#11, Gr#16, Gr#13 @ 1.0" slit width) --spectroscopic standard

--

UT 08:47 clouds are coming, but we have already finished!

UT 08:49 taking PESSTO_calibs
